  • 1 loaf of bread (chapata bread)
  • 8 tablespoons Guinness

  • Lettuce
  • Peppery watercress

How to Make Gordon Ramsay Steak Sandwich

  • Heat the grill pan on the stove
  • Slice the bread horizontally between the top and bottom.
  • Put a little extra virgin olive oil on the inside of both halves of the bread.
  • Season with salt, pepper and chili flakes to taste.
  • Bake on the grill pan with the inside of the bread below
  • Press the bread using a wide heavy object such as a ceramic plate, to make the bread denser and crunchy. Leave for 1 minute or until golden brown, then remove.
  • Season the steak with salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Leave it for about 1 minute.
  • Grill steak, flat cap mushroom, and onion slices on the grill pan. Sprinkle salt to taste on the mushrooms and onions.
  • Once the color of the steak is browned, turn the steak over. Turn also the mushrooms and onions.
  • Pour 2 tablespoons of Worcester Sauce and 1 tablespoon of Tabasco into a small bowl. Stir with a brush and spread over the steaks, mushrooms and onions.
  • In the same bowl, add 5 teaspoons of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon of Worcester sauce, salt and pepper to taste. Add a little tabasco if you like it hotter. Mix well.
  • Using a spoon, pour and spread the sauce on the inside surface of the bread. Reserve at least 1 tablespoon.
  • Add lettuce and peppery watercress to taste, also salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the guinness over the steak, mushrooms, and onions and around. Alternate the steak, mushrooms, and onions so that the guinness is absorbed.
  • Once cooked brown, remove the steak, mushrooms and onions. Arrange in mushrooms and onions on the bread.
  • Cut the steak and cheese, and arrange on the bread, above the other stuffing. Add the remaining sauce.
  • Cover the bread with the other half of the bread, and your Gordon Ramsay steak sandwich is ready to eat.
