Instructions

- Heat half the butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add in your sprouts. Let them cook without moving them for 8 minutes.
- After 8 minutes, toss and cook for another 5 minutes. At this point, you will see the edges start to brown.
- Then, remove the sprouts from the frying pan and set them aside.
- Add the remaining butter to the frying pan and heat it over medium heat. Follow it up by adding honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
- Stir everything together and let it bubble for a minute before lowering the heat to a simmer.
- Cook for 5 minutes, until the sauce has reduced slightly and has thickened slightly.
- Now, add the Brussels sprouts back to the frying pan and make sure to toss to coat.
- Cook it for another minute, then stir to flip the sprouts. Once the sprouts have warmed up again, turn off the heat and serve immediately.
Tips for Making Sriracha Honey Brussels Sprouts
- If you want to get the perfect charcoal on the sprouts in the pot, do not overcrowd them. In order for them to ripen, they need space. If you pile a lot of the sprouts into the frying pan, they will just steam and not brown.
- Another secret to getting the perfect charred edges is high heat. The higher the heat, the more charcoal you will get.
- If you have leftovers, save them in an airtight container and refrigerate them for up to 7 days. They can also be frozen, but may become slightly mushy when reheated as it will take 10 to 12 minutes to reheat in the pan from freezing.
